Wealth Management

A Fiduciary Mindset Applied to Every Step of the Investment Process

Every recommendation Tenet makes — whether it relates to an investment portfolio or a broader financial plan — is made with a single obligation in mind: our clients' best interests. As a fee-only fiduciary compensated directly by our clients, we do not earn sales commissions or receive compensation from third parties. There is no incentive to recommend anything other than what is appropriate for our clients based on their personalized goals. That standard applies at every step of the process from the first conversation to ongoing reviews. Our relationships are built on transparency and a long-term commitment to our clients' financial wellbeing.

Life Transitions

Navigating Financial Complexity During Major Life Changes

We also work with clients experiencing a significant life change, such as the loss of a spouse or partner, a divorce, a career change, or the approach of retirement. These transitions may involve a financial complexity that feels overwhelming alongside the other changes requiring navigation. Investment decisions that once felt straightforward — or were handled by another — can suddenly feel unfamiliar, and the pressure to make good decisions only adds to a stressful time.

We help clients navigate these moments with patience, clarity, and a process designed to reduce complexity. Our goal is to help you move forward with confidence, knowing your investment strategy reflects where you are today and where you want to go. If you are in the middle of a transition and are not sure where to start, a free consultation is a good first step.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you a fiduciary?

+

Yes. Tenet is held to a fiduciary standard at all times and, as such, is obligated to act in your best interest. You can be confident that every recommendation is designed to serve you.

Are you a fee-only advisor? What does that mean?

+

Yes. Fee-only means that Tenet's sole source of compensation is the fee we receive directly from clients. We do not receive commissions, referral fees, or any other form of compensation from third parties for recommending products or strategies. This structure removes potential conflicts of interest and ensures that advice is driven entirely by what is right for you as the client.

How do your clients pay you for the services they receive?

+

Fees for Investment Management services are based on the amount of a client's investable assets and are deducted from the client's assets quarterly in arrears. The fees paid to Tenet are separate from other costs clients may incur, including custodian fees, trading costs, and underlying fund expenses.

Ongoing financial planning engagements are billed on a fixed fee basis. Project-Based financial planning engagements are billed on either a fixed fee or hourly basis, depending on the scope of the engagement. In each case, fees are determined based on factors such as the complexity of the engagement and the time and resources required to deliver the service.

Do you use a recognized third-party custodian to hold your clients' assets?

+

Yes. The use of a reputable third-party custodian is vital for client asset protection and independent recordkeeping.

Can I view my investment accounts online?

+

Absolutely. You will have a login to directly access your account at the third-party custodian to view balances whenever you like.

Will Tenet collaborate with my tax accountant and/or estate attorney?

+

Yes, we welcome this opportunity. We are also happy to coordinate introductions to specialists we work with if you are looking for additional assistance.

Where do clients meet with you?

+

Tenet primarily operates virtually, meaning we meet with clients online via a secure connection. This means you can meet with us from the comfort of your own home or while at work. We are happy to discuss other arrangements depending on your location.
