Practice Area
Tenet supports Single Family Offices with investment-related needs through limited scope, project-based consulting engagements and OCIO services — bringing independent, conflict-free expertise to organizations of any size or development stage.
Investment Consulting
Tenet's consulting services cover a broad range of needs and organization sizes. Single Family Offices exploring the formation of a dedicated Investment Committee can access our guidance on committee formation, committee membership, and investment policy statement drafting. Apart from governance support, SFOs may wish to consider a limited-scope consulting engagement for evaluating investment opportunities including private direct investments. Additionally, Tenet will also engage with Investment Consulting clients as an independent investment committee member.
OCIO Services
The core portfolios of Single Family Offices are typically of a scale and complexity that investment management needs are best met by an in-house team and/or an investment partner with global capabilities. There are times, however, when those existing resources are unable to provide the same level of attention to non-core holdings — whether because the mandate is small, too specialized, or simply a distraction from higher-priority work. In those cases, Tenet serves as a dedicated investment manager for those assets. Clients can be confident that every portfolio Tenet manages receives the same full attention and care, regardless of its size or designation.
Our Investment Consulting and OCIO services are offered to SFOs of any size or development stage.
Tenet recognizes that sound investment outcomes begin with sound governance. In working collaboratively with our clients, Tenet supports the development of governance principles, investment policy statements, and decision-making frameworks that provide clarity, consistency, and long-term accountability. This structural foundation is as important as portfolio construction in building a durable investment program.
Yes. As a fiduciary, Tenet is obligated to act in the best interest of each client. Clients can be confident that every recommendation and decision is driven solely by their investment objectives and organizational mission.
No. Tenet is a "fee-only" advisor, which means that our sole source of compensation are fees we receive directly from clients. We do not receive commissions, referral fees, or any other form of compensation from third parties for recommending products or strategies. This structure removes potential conflicts of interest and ensures that advice is driven entirely by what is right for you as the client.
Absolutely. We work with each client's internal team and outside advisors. This is particularly important for SFOs as coordination across advisors is essential to ensure that investment decisions are made with full awareness of tax, trust/estate, and entity-level considerations.
Investment Consulting engagements are priced on a fixed-fee basis. Tenet collects half of the fee in advance with the remainder paid in monthly or quarterly installments at the beginning of each month or quarter.
OCIO fees are based on the value of assets under management and are billed quarterly in arrears. The fees paid to Tenet are separate from other costs clients may incur, including custodian fees, trading costs, and underlying fund expenses.
